About Heather Farr

Heather Farr (Xavier ’82) was a champion in every sense. A fourth generation Arizona native born in 1965, she excelled in golf at an early age. At 13, she won her first of nine Arizona State Women’s Amateur and Arizona Match Play Championships. At 14, she played in her first LPGA event. At 16, she was low amateur and finished 11th overall in the Women’s US Open. Graduating from Xavier in just three years, she never tied or lost a high school match or state championship.

Heather Farr attended Arizona State University on a scholarship. She left college after three years to join the LPGA Tour at age 20, the youngest ever at that time. At 24, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and in 1993 at the age of 28 lost her battle with cancer.

Heather Farr never met a person she didn’t befriend. Her high energy, enthusiasm and passion for life inspired those who knew or knew of her. She will be remembered for her talent, her accomplishments, her sweet swing and her demeanor on and off the golf course.

The Heather Farr Memorial Golf Tournament is the Xavier Dads’ Club’s only fundraiser of the year. Your participation helps support the Xavier Dads’ Club and Xavier College Prep. It also provides a great tax deduction and an excellent opportunity to promote your business.
